The NSW Liberal party is set to hear from the prime minister at its conference on the state's central coast.

Malcolm Turnbull is expected to speak to the party conference at Tumbi Umbi on Saturday morning, followed by NSW Treasurer Gladys Berejiklian, AAP understands.

The event comes as Liberal infighting spills out of the closed rooms of Canberra and into the country's newspapers, with speculation also swirling about when the federal election will be held.

Two weeks ago Labor held its annual conference at Sydney's Town Hall where 800 delegates gathered to debate policy, party reform and campaign strategy at the two-day event.
