NSW man dies days after Brisbane shooting

A Tweed Heads man shot in the head and torso in a quiet neighbourhood in eastern Brisbane last week as died in hospital, police say.

A NSW man shot multiple times in an attack in Brisbane last week has died in hospital.

Police are still trying to find who shot the 24-year-old man in Jarrow Street, Tingalpa, a quiet neighbourhood in the city's southeast, early on Thursday morning.

Officers and paramedics found the Tweed Heads man lying on the road with gunshot wounds to his head and chest.

He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition where he was kept in intensive care for four days.

But police announced on Monday afternoon that the man had died.
