A Sydney man will face court next month after being charged with 41 counts of aggravated sexual or indecent assault on young boys which allegedly took place in the 1980s and 1990s.

The 67-year-old from Campbelltown in Sydney's west had previously been charged with three aggravated sexual assaults and 10 aggravated indecent assaults which targeted a boy under the age of 16 between 1993 and 1996.

But he was re-arrested on Friday and slugged with a further 21 counts of aggravated sexual assault and 20 of aggravated indecent assault on a further four young victims between 1982 and 1999.

He was granted strict conditional bail and will appear in Queanbeyan Local Court on September 6.
