NSW man 'looked up child's skirt'

Police are appealing for information after a man was caught looking up a child's skirt.

Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was approached by a man near Coffs Harbour.

A 14-year-old girl and her 21-year-old sister were camping with their mother at Yuraygir National Park, 40 kilometres east of Grafton, on Thursday.

Police say as the mother turned her back to pick up an item from a cooler box, the 21-year-old woman saw a man looking up the skirt of her younger sister.

The man was told by the older sibling to leave the area and he was also confronted by another man camping close-by.

The man then promptly the area.

Police from Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command are investigating the incident and are looking for the man.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30s, with a small build and wearing maroon three-quarter length shorts.
