A veteran rugby league commentator was arrested halfway though his call of a local match in Grafton, northern NSW on Sunday.
NSW Police confirmed a 58-year-old man was arrested for an outstanding warrant in relation to charges of affray, common assault and two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
It is understood the man was Dougie Graham, the uncle of NSW star Wade Graham who will play in the State of Origin decider on Wednesday.
Graham struggled with police before he was handcuffed and taken into custody, the Grafton Daily Examiner reported. He spent the night at Grafton Police Station before appearing in Grafton Local Court on Sunday.
Graham was bailed and will reappear on July 15.

The match was between the Grafton Ghosts and Woolgoolga Seahorses at Frank McGuren Field.
