NSW rail workers will start voting on the latest pay deal from management on Thursday, the same day a ban on strike action is lifted.
Sydney Trains is holding a ballot on the package, which includes a three per cent annual pay rise for three years, a $1000 one-off payment and free bus travel.
Unions and management have spent the past month meeting with workers across the state to formally present and discuss the offer.
In a message to employees, Sydney Trains chief executive Howard Collins labelled it "the best deal there is" and encouraged people to vote.
Votes will be counted on March 24.
Meanwhile, an order by the industrial umpire for workers to suspend a ban on overtime work and planned 24-hour strike for six weeks ends on Thursday.
