Firefighters from NSW have been sent over the border to help their Victorian counterparts with the bushfire emergency.
About 35 firefighters from regional NSW have been sent to Shepparton, with the first team arriving on Sunday.
The firefighters will form two strike teams.
Fire and Rescue NSW says the firefighters will help Victoria's CFA during the next few days.
Emergency warnings were in place for fires on Melbourne's fringe in Mickleham, Warrandyte and Gisborne on Sunday, with authorities grappling with the worst conditions since Black Saturday.
