NSW teacher faces historic sex charges

A man has been extradited from Queensland to NSW to face child sex charges dating back to 1967.

A former dorm master and teacher accused of numerous historic child sex offences has been extradited to NSW.

The 72-year-old was arrested in Queensland on Tuesday and sent back to Sydney on Thursday, when he was charged in relation to offences allegedly committed between 1967 and 1970 while he was working at a school in the Blue Mountains.

He was refused bail and is expected to appear at Central Local Court in Sydney on Friday on one count of buggery and three counts of indecent assault of male.
