Police have nabbed two teenage boys who set off a home-made bomb that started a bushfire on the state's mid north coast.
Police say the boys, both aged 16, threw the home-made explosive into bushland near Crestwood Drive at Port Macquarie, on Sunday afternoon.
The bomb exploded, accidentally causing a bushfire nearby.
The boys unsuccessfully tried to put out the fire, which was later extinguished by firefighters.
No property was damaged and no one was injured.
