Northern Territory cops have outwitted two robbers in Alice Springs, ambushing them when they broke into a pub.

Two robbers have been ambushed by police after breaking into a pub in Alice Springs.

CCTV footage shows one of the men being chased through the pub by an officer who lay in wait on Wednesday night.

A 36-year-old was charged with offences including stealing and a 20-year-old was charged with unlawful entry and property damage.
