Legendary indigenous musician Gurrumul's stolen guitar has been recovered by police along with more than $60,000 worth of music equipment.
The gear was stolen last week from the recording studio of Skinnyfish Music, Gurrumul's Darwin-based label.
Northern Territory investigators arrested three males - aged 17, 19 and 24 - after searching properties in Zuccoli and Driver early on Tuesday morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan said police had received a tip off and thanked members of the public for helping with the investigation.
"The trio were arrested and remain in custody assisting police with their inquiries," he said.
"With the amount of property stolen there was either a truck used or there was multiple entries to the property."
Det Sen Sgt Jordan Said he was still establishing the motives behind the theft.
"However, I would suspect ... they were either going to pass it on to people who have an interest with music or keep it for themselves for their own music," he said.
Skinnyfish creative director Michael Hohnen called the seizure a "triumphant win" and a big relief.
"Hopefully it's all still in beautiful condition. It does feel like our lives are going to go back to normal," he told ABC radio.
Mr Hohnen praised the support of the Darwin community in helping to replace missing items for Tiwi Island band B2M's upcoming Taiwanese tour.
He said Gurrumul would be "less cranky" now his favourite guitar, a Martin HD-28, had been recovered.
"His fears will be allayed and I'll be able to play it to him over the phone - he'll probably come in here wanting to play it again," Mr Hohnen said.
