Nikola Jokic got his second NBA triple-double of the season on Monday night to help the injury-riddled Denver Nuggets overcome another key absence.

Jokic capped a big night with three free throws in the final seven seconds, Kyle Lowry missed a three-pointer at the buzzer and the Nuggets survived the loss of leading scorer Gary Harris to beat the Toronto Raptors 106-103.

"To beat the No.1 team in the East means a lot to us," Jokic said.

Jokic made it 104-103 with a free throw with 7.0 seconds left, then hit two more foul shots with 5.6 seconds remaining before Lowry bounced his game-tying attempt off the rim.

The Nuggets won their sixth straight match and halted Toronto's winning streak at eight.

Kawhi Leonard scored 27 points for the Raptors.

Harris scored three points in the opening quarter but did not play after the first because of a sore right hip.

Golden State's Big Three combined for 85 points and the visiting Warriors broke their two-game losing streak with a 128-111 win over the Atlanta Hawks.

Stephen Curry scored 30, followed by Kevin Durant (28) and Klay Thompson (27) as Golden State (16-9) improved to 5-7 on the road.

Curry, playing in his second game since missing 11 games with an ankle injury, made six three-pointers.

The Hawks were led by John Collins with 24 points.

New Zealand centre Steven Adams scored 21 points and superstar Russell Westbrook added 18 as Oklahoma City ended the Detroit Pistons' five-game winning streak with a 110-83 victory.

Paul George added 17 points for the red-hot Thunder, who are 15-3 after losing their first four games.

Blake Griffin led Detroit with 20 points while Andre Drummond added 13.

Karl-Anthony Towns recorded 24 points, 11 rebounds and three steals to help the Minnesota Timberwolves recover from a 19-point, first-half deficit to post a 103-91 victory over the visiting Houston Rockets.

Andrew Wiggins scored 16 points for Minnesota, who won for the fifth time in the past six games

Tobias Harris made two clutch free throws with 4.7 seconds left to close out a 27-point performance, and the Los Angeles Clippers held off the New Orleans Pelicans 129-126.
