The man died at Westmead Hospital, in Sydney's west, about 10.40pm (AEDT) on Friday, police said.
An autopsy will be carried out to determine a cause of death.
It follows the fire at Quakers Hill Nursing Home, in Sydney's northwest, during the early hours of November 18.

Three residents of the home died in the blaze and another seven died in hospital.
A registered nurse working at the facility, 35-year-old Roger Dean, is alleged to have started the fire and has been charged with eight counts of murder.
A police spokesman results from the latest autopsy would determine if any further charges are laid.
