Tourism New Zealand has been left red-faced after it released a video featuring a campervan driving on the wrong side of the road.
The promotional video - The Ultimate Road Trip - has had more than 300,000 views on Youtube, before it was removed from Youtube.
Its intro includes what appears to be travellers going down a South Island highway, driving in the right-hand lane.
The gaffe comes just weeks after Tourism NZ released a safety video for Chinese tourists planning to drive in the country.
Tourism New Zealand spokeswoman Deborah Gray says the organisation is working as fast as it can to fix the error.
"Tourism New Zealand is taking all steps it can to keep visitors safe on our roads so are extremely disappointed in this oversight," she said.
"The drivers are in fact driving on the correct side, but the image has been flipped."
Ms Gray said the image had been edited by a visiting videographer.
A spate of crashes involving travellers in August prompted the tourism industry to introduce a "code of practice" for preparing visitors for driving in the country.
