NZ win third ODI toss against Windies

New Zealand will bat in the third one-day international against the West Indies after stand-in skipper Tom Latham won the toss in Christchurch.

The Black Caps have won the toss and will bat in the third one-day international in Christchurch against a West Indies team boosted by the return of the big-hitting Chris Gayle.

The Kiwis have comfortably won the first two ODIs, the first by five wickets in Whangarei and the second by 204 runs at Hagley Oval.

Allrounder Mitchell Santner has come in for paceman Doug Bracewell in a Black Caps team otherwise unchanged.

Gayle missed the second ODI and played a limited part in the first due to illness but returns to add fire power to the Windies' batting line-up, replacing Evin Lewis.

Nikita Miller is also back in the side in place of Ronsford Beaton while Chad Walton comes in for Shimron Hetmyer.

New Zealand: Colin Munro, George Worker, Neil Broom, Ross Taylor, Tom Latham (captain), Henry Nicholls, Mitchell Santner, Todd Astle, Matt Henry, Lockie Ferguson, Trent Boult

West Indies: Chris Gayle, Chad Walton, Shai Hope, Kyle Hope, Jason Mohammed, Jason Holder (captain), Rovman Powell, Ashley Nurse, Nikita Miller, Sheldon Cottrell, Shannon Gabriel.
