The White House will release a report outlining recommended reforms to US spying programs, spokesman Jay Carney says.
The report with 46 recommendations was presented to President Barack Obama last week amid concerns about mass surveillance by the National Security Agency.
The White House had planned to release the report next month after weighing its recommendations, but decided to release it on Wednesday "given inaccurate and incomplete reports in the press about the report's content".
The review was "a substantive, lengthy report" that requires review and assessment, Carney said.
The White House will sort through the recommendations to decide which will be implemented, which require further study and which will not be pursued, he added.
