The post-tornado rescue effort in Oklahoma looks to be all but over tonight, with the death toll lowered sharply to 24.

The local fire chief says it's unlikely any more bodies or survivors will be found.

Over 200 were injured in the storm, half of those pulled alive from the wreckage - a stark indication of the awesome power of the tornado.
