Oliver can take $1000 AFL fine

The match review panel charged Melbourne's Clayton Oliver with rough conduct for his sling tackle on Port Adelaide opponent Aaron Young.

Melbourne's top draftee Clayton Oliver can accept a $1000 AFL fine for rough conduct.

The match review panel charged the No.4 pick in last November national draft for his sling tackle on Port Adelaide opponent Aaron Young.

Oliver can reduce the $1500 fine to $1000 by taking the penalty.

The incident happened in the last term of Melbourne's upset NAB Challenge win over the Power on Saturday at Elizabeth Oval.

It was graded as careless, with low impact to Young's head.
