Olivia Newton-John to meet PM, ministers

Australian entertainer Olivia Newton-John will take her fight for more cancer research to the nation's leader on Wednesday.

Olivia Newton-John, who is fighting her second bout of breast cancer, will take her campaign for more cancer research to the nation's leaders.

The singer will meet Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and Opposition Leader Bill Shorten and other ministers to discuss the work of the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute in Melbourne.

"Through research and wellness therapies I believe we can meet that challenge, but we do need governments to support our endeavours," she said in a statement.
