OBAMA'S RE-ELECTION SPOOKS INVESTORS (November 8)
US President Barack Obama is back in Washington after celebrating his election victory with his family in Chicago.
But the economic challenges he's facing have been laid bare by a sharp fall in the US stock market. Investors are spooked by the fiscal gridlock in Washington, after the Republicans retained control of the House of Representatives, and the Democrats the Senate. OBAMA SAYS 'BEST IS YET TO COME' (November 7)
President Barack Obama has told cheering supporters that "the best is yet to come" for the United States as he stormed to a second term by defeating Republican Mitt Romney.
After taking the stage at a raucous Chicago victory party early on Wednesday with wife Michelle and daughters Sasha and Malia, Obama returned to the themes of his re-election bid, vowing to fight for the middle class and the American dream, SBS Senior Correspondent Brian Thomson reports.

STARK COUNTY IN OHIO 'KEY TO WIN ELECTION' (November 2)
Whoever wins Ohio wins the presidency, and whoever wins Stark County wins Ohio, experts say. With just one exception, the 375,000 people living there have voted for the winner at every presidential election in recent history, SBS Senior Correspondent Brian Thomson reports.
Stark County is a largely rural county and agriculture is still the number one industry. If the yard signs are any indication, US President Barack Obama is in trouble: if he has supporters there, they are not publicly advertising the fact.
But the polls reveal that with just five days to go, Republican candidate Mitt Romney's much needed breakthrough in Ohio is failing to materialise.

Superstorm Sandy is taking its toll on the race for the White House, with both President Barack Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney pulling out of planned rallies in swing states.
