One dead, four in hospital after Qld crash

A Brisbane man has died and four passengers are in hospital after the car they were travelling in left the road and crashed into a tree.

A man has been killed north of Brisbane when his car left the road and crashed into a tree.

The 24-year-old Murrumba Downs man died on at the scene and a 17-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries, police said on Friday evening.

Three other passengers suffered non-life threatening injuries and were also transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.
