One of the new One Nation senators won't decide whether to support the Turnbull government's company tax cuts until he sees data on its economic impact.
Malcolm Roberts, Pauline Hanson's Queensland colleague in the new parliament, says over the past 70 years there have been "Band Aids put on Band Aids put on Band Aids in our tax system".
"I believe in making decisions based on empirical evidence, observed data, measured data. Until we get the evidence I'm not going to say anything about pro or against," he told ABC TV on Sunday when asked about the company tax cut.
Returned Liberal Democrat senator David Leyonhjelm says his party will always support tax reductions and wants Australia to be internationally competitive.
Treasurer Scott Morrison commended crossbenchers for not ruling things in or out too early.

He says the government will work constructively with the crossbenchers and give them with enough information to build a genuine agreement.
"Some of the crossbenchers have shown real wisdom that they're also refusing to be drawn in on every single decision at the moment," he told Sky News.
"We're certainly not seeking to rush them into any decision."
