'Only in Australia': Friendly koala surprises diners in Adelaide restaurant

Diners enjoyed the company of a surprise guest when a koala strolled into a restaurant in Adelaide's north-east.

A video posted on Facebook shows the koala casually stepping into the Genghis Khan restaurant in Rostrevor.

Diners were quick to take out their phones to snap photos of the friendly marsupial as it made its way through the busy eatery.

"Only in Australia, having a nice dinner out with good friends….and a gorgeous Koala we named Jeffrey just casually walks by the restaurant," wrote Xenia Ioannou, who posted the video to Facebook.

An animal rescue team eventually came to the aid of the lost koala.
