Optus will show every match of the next three English Premier League seasons live, but fans will have to wait until June to find out how much it will cost them.
After surprising the media industry last year with a $189 million deal for the exclusive Australian EPL broadcast and digital rights, Optus has finally revealed how it will broadcast the most watched league in the world.
All 380 matches per season will be shown live on Optus TV with Fetch, a service available to Optus customers via a set-top box.
SBS has also struck a deal with Optus to air one live Saturday match each round, marking the first time in years the EPL will be shown on free-to-air TV.
Optus will create a 24/7 football channel on its Optus TV service when the next EPL season kicks off in August, featuring matches and football-focused programs and commentary produced by the EPL.
"With up to ten subchannels, Optus will accommodate every match of every round live, so fans never miss a minute of the action on match day," Optus said.
Matches will also be available on an Optus EPL app and website.
The mobile and broadband operator's EPL deal ends pay-TV operator Foxtel's 18 year association with the league.
Optus chief executive Allen Lew said EPL coverage, plus a new deal with SBS to stream 2018 FIFA World Cup matches, "gives Optus a very strong content differentiation to stand on in this market".
He said the telco's EPL coverage with be very distinctive to that offered by Foxtel, and is confident Optus will be ready by August.
Optus' parent company, Singapore Telecommunications, has been showing the EPL in Singapore for the past six years.
"We will be leveraging that experience," he said.
Optus will reveal its full pricing details in June, but some Optus customers will get EPL included in their plans at no extra cost.
An Optus satellite broadcast platform will provide EPL coverage for customers who can't access Optus broadband services, or can't get high definition content via their broadband service.
The satellite service will also deliver live games via the Optus EPL channel to commercial premises, including pubs and clubs.
Optus has around 9.37 mobile customers, and around 1.04 broadband customers.
