Origin Energy has agreed to sell its Darling Downs pipeline network in Queensland to Jemena Gas Pipelines for $392 million.

The deal is part of Origin's asset sale program announced in 2015, which targeted raising $800 million through divestment of non-core assets by June 2017.

The energy producer and retailer has secured gas transportation services on the pipeline network for between 10 and 30 years as part of the agreement.
