Origin signs deal to supply gas to Engie

Origin Energy has signed two agreements to supply gas for French energy major Engie's operations in Australia.

Origin Energy has signed a three-year agreement to supply gas to French energy major Engie's Pelican Point power plant in South Australia.

The energy producer and retailer will also source 240 mega watts of electricity from the plant for a fixed charge to supply its SA customers.

Origin has also separately agreed to supply eight peta-joules of natural gas to Engie over the 2018 and 2019 calendar years to help it meet the needs of its local customers.
