Wayne Bennett expects to have all of his available State of Origin stars back-up for Brisbane's NRL clash with Canterbury.

Prop Josh McGuire only took part in light duties at training on Friday but Bennett says that was a precautionary step.

Bennett is confident the front-rower will line-up against the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night.

"He's just a bit tight in the hamstring this morning so he didn't train but he'll play tomorrow night," Bennett said.

Captain Corey Parker, Corey Oates, Matt Gillett and Darius Boyd all took part in the full training session.

Sam Thaiday will sit out the match after copping a two-game ban for a dangerous throw on NSW captain Paul Gallen in State of Origin II.

Bennett said there was never any thought of contesting the charge.

"It was pretty obvious what he did," Bennett said.

In Thaiday's absence, Jaydn Su'A will move from the bench to the backrow with 18th man Herman Ese'ese coming into the team.

The Bulldogs have been rocked with the news Josh Morris, Greg Eastwood, Raymond Faitala-Mariner and Tim Browne have all failed fitness tests.

Des Hasler has confirmed NSW representatives Josh Jackson and David Klemmer will play.

Bennett said the uncertainty over line-ups was simply a challenge club coaches have to face during the Origin period.

"We haven't seen the Origin players for 14 days and they've just come in this morning and can't do much because they played on Wednesday night," he said.

"That's how it'll be for the next month," he said.

"We've done it for a long time so we do the best we can and that's all we can do really."
