Outdoor gym turns exercise into electricity

Outdoor gyms have been helping people to exercise, but now there's a new aim - to create electricity.

In Hull, North England, the Great Outdoor Gym Company has created its first outdoor gym that can make its own electricity.

The company has already installed more than 350 gyms across the UK, paid for by local councils and free for local residents, but this is the first to turn excercise into electricity.

More outdoor gyms will be installed hoping to feed surplus energy into the national grid and reduce electricity bills.
