An English head chef has faced swift backlash for Facebook comments claiming she "spiked a vegan" during a dining event.
Laura Goodman, who worked at Carlini Restaurant based in Shropshire in central England, posted the comments on 'The Boring Group' on Saturday morning saying, "Pious, judgemental vegan (who I spend all day cooking for) has gone to bed, still believing she's a vegan", according to the BBC.
She later commented: "Spiked a vegan a few hours ago."
The posts sparked outrage online with vegans and non-vegans hitting out at the chef, prompting Ms Goodman to delete the comments.
The restaurant's Google review has been flooded with poor ratings after Goodman's Facebook comments, bringing the star rating down to 1.2.

Her fiancé, Michael Gale, told the BBC Ms Goodman was "deeply sorry" for her Facebook posts.
"She recognises she needs some time away from the business to clear her head and think about what happened," he added.
The restaurant released a statement following the backlash reading: "Laura Goodman has today tendered her resignation from Carlini and the board of directors are currently considering their options".
The husband told the publication no meat was used in any of the dishes served at the event that day.
