The Ten Network has offered James Packer and Lachlan Murdoch directorships following reports Mr Murdoch is in talks to buy half of Mr Packer's new stake in the television broadcaster.
The Sydney-based company has issued a statement saying the two board positions are an appropriate representation for Mr Packer's shareholding of about 18 per cent.
The positions would take the number of directors to 10.

Ten also says chairman Nick Falloon and the board has agreed on a plan to make the chair a non-executive position.
The disclosure follows media speculation about discussions between the company, Mr Packer and Mr Murdoch.
