Netflix executives will visit Queensland as Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk tries to convince the TV streaming giant to film in the Sunshine State.
Ms Palaszczuk is in the United States where she met with Netflix to spruik the Gold Coast and Brisbane as potential sites for productions by the $150 billion company.
Netflix, which will visit Queensland in November, knows the state's potential as a location having selected it for its first Australian-based production, the supernatural crime drama Tidelands.
A 10-episode Netflix comedy series written by comedian Chris Lilley is being filmed predominantly on the Gold Coast.
"They (Netflix) will be visiting our Gold Coast and Brisbane, but the rest of Queensland has a lot to offer as well," Ms Palaszczuk told Nine Network on Wednesday from Los Angeles.
Netflix has more than 120 million subscribers and expects to release around 80 original films this year as it looks to mirror in movies the success it's achieved in television.
Meanwhile, the state government announced on Wednesday the second season of TV drama Harrow would be shot in Queensland after Brisbane served as the backdrop to the first serries.
