Palestine 'will learn' from Asian Cup debut loss

Palestine has lost four-nil in its debut match in the Asian Cup - but the top Palestinian diplomat in Australia says the team will bounce back.

Palestine has been defeated four-nil by Japan in its debut match in football's Asian Cup. 

Japan, the defending champions, had been leading three-nil at half time in the Group D match in Newcastle.

Head of the General Delegation of Palestine to Australia, Izzat Abdulhadi, says he accepts the result.

But he told Van Nguyen there are high hopes for his team to win its next match against Jordan this Friday.
