Not content with just suing Rupert Murdoch, Clive Palmer has made the bizarre claim that the media mogul's former wife is a Chinese spy.
While discussing his plan to sue Mr Murdoch over an article in The Australian newspaper on Thursday, Mr Palmer launched into the outlandish tirade against Ms Deng.
"You know Rupert Murdoch's wife Wendi Deng is a Chinese spy," Mr Palmer told the Nine Network.
"She's been spying on Rupert for years, giving money back to Chinese intelligence ... that's why Rupert Murdoch got rid of her."
The comments prompted Nine host Karl Stefanovic to ask Mr Palmer if he had "lost the plot".

The leader of the Palmer United Party was fuming over The Australian comment piece which questions the truth about the Gold Coast property tycoon and political hopeful.
"Contrary to the flim-flam and spin, Clive Frederick Palmer is not a professor, not an adviser to the G20, not a mining magnate, not a legal guru and not an advocate for freedom of speech. He's probably not a billionaire," journalist Hedley Thomas writes.
"The problem is that so much of Mr Palmer's spiel seems to be make-believe."
Mr Palmer accused Mr Murdoch of telling his reporters what to write and said he needed to be brought to account.
"Murdoch will be sued by me today and will be brought to Australia to answer these questions in the Supreme Court," he told the Seven Network on Thursday.
"It's time this fellow was brought to account, this foreigner who tries to dictate what we do."
The Australian says if the latest polls are correct, the Palmer United Party could win the sixth Queensland senate seat.
Mr Palmer said he never claimed to be a mining magnate and didn't know whether he was a billionaire.
"All I've said is I'm an Australian and I want to stand in the election," he said.
Thomas later said he was not concerned by the threat and stood by his reporting.
"We look forward to this because in court we'll just lay out the facts again," he told Fairfax Radio in Sydney.
Mr Palmer is already suing The Australian for defamation over articles Thomas wrote two and half months ago.
