Palmer storms out of ABC interview

On the day he frustrated the government, it appears Clive Palmer is himself frustrated by the media's attention to his legal battle with a Chinese company.

He's left the Abbott government frustrated in its attempt to repeal the carbon tax, but it took a thorny question about the Chinese to anger Clive Palmer.

The eccentric MP stormed out of a television interview on Thursday after being quizzed about his legal battle with a Chinese business partner.

"Don't talk to me about allegations and bull***t," the Palmer United Party leader told ABC TV's 7.30 program.

Mr Palmer was unfazed by earlier questions about his party's last-minute tactics in the upper house denying the government a day of celebration.

But after flying out of Canberra for a holiday, Mr Palmer would not be denied his day.

The mining magnate refused to be drawn on the court battle, saying there were no proceedings against him personally.

"I'm not answering any more, so goodbye ... see you later," he said, snatching off his earpiece and walking out of the New Zealand studio.
