Palmer update interests three years late

Three years after he became a director of a Queensland resort firm, Clive Palmer has updated his parliamentary register of interests.

Clive Palmer has taken more than three years to declare his directorship of a Queensland resort.

Mr Palmer, the federal MP for Fairfax and leader of the Palmer United Party, updated his pecuniary interest register on Tuesday with the fact that he had been a director of Palmer Coolum Resort Pty Ltd since January 11, 2013.

Under parliamentary rules, MPs are required to notify any changes to their interests within 28 days of the alteration occurring.

It was one of 13 updates to his public register made this week.

He also noted that he had resigned as director of Cosmo Developments Pty Ltd on May 25, 2014, and Waratah Coal on July 2, 2014.

Another update from this week listed Mr Palmer's wife Anna as director of Coeur de Lion Investments Pty Ltd from November 25, 2013.

The register noted Mr Palmer had quit as a director of mining company China First on January 12 and Palmer Aviation on January 9 this year.

Anna Palmer is listed as having taken over the China First directorship and becoming director of Mr Palmer's flagship, Mineralogy.
