Brisbane lock Tevita Pangai Jnr should have been sin-binned for his ugly late hit on Cooper Cronk, admits NRL head of football Graham Annesley.
"In my view yes (he should have been binned) and the referees have the ability to do that," said Annesley on Monday. "They have been reminded again today that they have that in their armoury."
Pangai Jnr has pleaded guilty to a dangerous contact charge and will miss two matches for his hit on Sydney Roosters playmaker Cronk, which was labelled a "dog shot" by Andrew Johns.
