Panthers confirm Maloney will start

Penrith coach Anthony Griffin says playmaker James Maloney has overcome injury and will play in Friday night's NRL clash with Brisbane.

James Maloney has overcome injury and will run out for Penrith in Friday night's NRL clash against Brisbane, Panthers coach Anthony Griffin says.

But Maloney received official clearance on Thursday from Griffin after the Panthers playmaker was rested from last week's loss to Cronulla.
