The 20-year-old took the women's S7 50m freestyle crown in a Paralympic best of 32.63sec after lowering the previous record in the morning heats. The United States' Cortney Jordan won silver, with Ani Palian of Ukraine in bronze.
"I am not a sprinter, so I am really happy to get another gold medal under my belt," said Freney, "It is a bit of a shock. I think Siobhan Paton winning the six gold medals at the Sydney Paralympics was my inspiration for tonight."

Freney, who has cerebral palsy, on Monday won her fourth and fifth golds in the S7 100m freestyle and 4x100m 34 point relay.
She set a new world record in the SM7 200m individual relay on Sunday and won the S7 50m butterfly and S7 100m backstroke last week.
The Australian won three bronze medals at the Beijing Paralympics in 2008.
