Parents of wandering Sydney boy found

The parents of a young boy found crying in a western Sydney street in the middle of the night have been located, police say.

The parents of a young boy found crying in the middle of the night in a western Sydney street have been located.

Residents called police after hearing crying noises in Lucy Street in Merrylands West about 2.30am on Tuesday.

The boy believed to be about two or three years old was taken to Merrylands Police Station where was being cared for by the officers.

NSW Police tweeted at 9.15am that the parents had been located.
