NSW Greens candidate Jamie Parker has claimed victory in Sydney's inner-west seat of Balmain, saying his positive campaign resonated with voters.

NSW Greens candidate Jamie Parker has claimed victory in Sydney's inner-west seat of Balmain, saying his positive campaign resonated with voters.

"Our win is a very strong one that reflects the positivity of our campaign," he told Sky News.

He said it was possible other candidates for the seat could call for a recount.
