Indigenous Affairs Minister Nigel Scullion says he won't release a report into the Indigenous Land Corporation and Indigenous Business Australia yet.

The Minister said the program was already seeing attendance rates lifted by 13 per cent in remote communities.

But he said there was more to be done in closing the gap on Indigenous disadvantage.

"It's absolutely critical to closing the gap," he said.

"We're having a look at the Closing the Gap report and many of us that are close to it would acknowledge that It should be a bit of a muted celebration tomorrow.

"Sadly, we're not doing anywhere near as good as we should be doing in terms of closing the gap."

The closing the gap report is due for release in Parliament tomorrow.
