Partner in jail accused of farmer's murder

The partner of a NSW sheep farmer found dead on his remote property remains in custody after bail was formally refused on a charge of murdering him.

A NSW woman accused of murdering her grazier partner did not apply for bail when a magistrate adjourned her case to January.

Natasha Beth Darcy, 42, was arrested on Saturday and charged with murdering sheep farmer Mathew Dunbar, also 42, who was found dead on August 2 on his property "Pandora" on the outskirts of Walcha.

Her case was mentioned in Tamworth Local Court on Monday when no bail application was made and it was formally refused.

The matter was adjourned for mention to January 24 when Darcy is expected to attend via video link.

Darcy has also been known as Natasha Darcy-Crossman.
