New England Patriots have ground out 273 rushing yards to beat the Buffalo Bills 24-12 and clinch the NFL's AFC East title for the 10th straight season.

Running back Sony Michel led the way with 116 yards and a touchdown as the Patriots (10-5) ended a two-game losing slide.

Dallas Cowboys scored their first defensive touchdown of the year in their 27-20 defeat of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Cowboys (9-6) sealed the NFC East title and earned a home game in the playoffs.

Three teams had clinched divisional titles before Sunday's games - New Orleans Saints (NFC South), Los Angeles Rams (NFC West) and Chicago Bears (NFC North) - and they all won again while Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers are already assured of play-off spots.

New Orleans scored the only points of the fourth quarter to overcome the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-28 and increase their NF-best record to 13-2.

The Rams snapped their two-game losing streak with an easy 31-9 victory over the Arizona Cardinals to secure a 12th win of the season.

Chicago survived a fight and a late fumble to earn their eighth win in nine games with a 14-9 success against the San Francisco 49ers.

Philadelphia Eagles' Jake Elliott kicked a 35-yard field goal as time expired to beat the Houston Texans 32-30 and keep the Super Bowl champions' play-off hopes alive.

Andrew Luck threw a one-yard touchdown pass to Chester Rogers with 55 seconds left as the Indianapolis Colts rallied for a 28-27 home victory over the New York Giants to bolster their play-off aspirations.

Tight end Kyle Rudolph caught two touchdown passes from Kirk Cousins, including a Hail Mary on the final play of the first half, as the Minnesota Vikings moved closer to a wild-card spot with a 27-9 defeat of the Detroit Lions.

Jacksonville Jaguars eliminated the host Miami Dolphins from play-off contention with a 17-7 win.

The visiting Atlanta Falcons won 24-10 to ensure Carolina's season would end at the end of the regular season.

Green Bay Packers needed overtime to beat the New York Jets 44-38 while the Cleveland Browns defeated the visiting Cincinnati Bengals 26-18.

The Seattle Seahawks clinched a wildcard berth with a 38-31 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.

The post-season begins on January 5 with the Super Bowl set for February 3 in Atlanta.
