Boomers guard Patty Mills has shot a career-high seven threes to contribute 25 points in San Antonio's 100-95 NBA away win over Brooklyn.

Mills had five-from-five three-pointers off the bench by half-time before finishing with a 70 shooting percentage at the Barclays Center on Wednesday.

The Australian fell one point short of eclipsing his season high, set earlier in the month, also contributing three steals as the Spurs notched their 30th win to maintain third spot in the Western Conference.

The Spurs led by 15 points into the fourth quarter before the lowly Nets cut the deficit to four inside the final minute.

Mills' second assist - a close-range bounce pass to LaMarcus Aldridge - helped maintain the advantage.

Aldridge top-scored with 34 points.

Elsewhere, the Charlotte Hornets scored a record 77 points in the first half to beat the Washington Wizards 133-109.

Jonas Valanciunas had 17 points and 16 rebounds and CJ Miles scored 21 points as Toronto beat Detroit 96-91.

Kent Bazemore hit a jumper with 2.1 seconds remaining and the Atlanta Hawks rallied from 19 points down to beat the New Orleans Pelicans 94-93.

The Hawks won back-to-back games for only the second time this season and snapped the Pelicans' three-game winning streak.

Klay Thompson scored 38 points, Stephen Curry added 30 and the Golden State Warriors beat the Chicago Bulls 119-112 for a club-record 14th straight road win.

Carmelo Anthony scored 27 points to help the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Los Angeles Lakers 114-90.

New Zealand's Steven Adams had 21 points and 10 rebounds and Russell Westbrook added 19 points and seven assists for the Thunder, who won their third straight.

Tyreke Evans had 23 points, including three free throws in the closing seconds, along with 10 assists to lift the Memphis Grizzlies over the New York Knicks 105-99.

Memphis played without starting centre Marc Gasol, who sat out with an illness.

Hassan Whiteside had a season-high 27 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks to lead the Miami Heat to a 106-101 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Utah Jazz beat the Sacramento Kings 120-105 while the Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Denver Nuggets 109-104.
