Sally Pearson has produced another solid run ahead of next month's world championship by placing second in the 100m hurdles at a meet in Luzern.

The Australian ran 12.83 seconds - 0.35 slower than her Diamond League run in London on the weekend - at the one-day Spitzen Leichtathtletik.

She finished behind American Sharika Nelvis, who ran 12.67.

Tuesday's run continues a return to form for London 2012 Olympic gold medallist Pearson.

The 30-year-old produced her best time in half-a-decade on Sunday after years of injuries when she was second to American world record-holder Kendra Harrison (12.39).
