Pedestrian critical in Qld truck crash

A pedestrian has critical injuries after being hit by a truck on the Bruce Highway south of Bowen, in central Queensland.

A man has been critically injured after being hit by a truck while walking on a highway in central Queensland.

The collision occurred about 2.30am on Wednesday while the man was walking on the Bruce Highway south of Bowen.

The man has been taken to the Bowen Hospital, and the highway will be closed for several hours.
