The law has finally caught up with US pedophile fugitive Timothy R Powers, who fled Australia last year when faced with new child pornography charges.
Powers, 57, who sports a handle bar moustache and resided in Australia for more than a decade, has been jailed for seven years in Missouri.
The repeat sex offender was arrested at his home in Weldon Spring, Missouri, in February when police, acting on an anonymous tip, searched his computer and found child pornography.
Powers has a long criminal history for child pornography offences, dating back to being jailed in Australia more than a decade ago.
When NSW police issued arrest warrants for new child pornography charges last year, Powers fled to the US.

"He has outstanding charges in Australia for possession of child pornography," Lieutenant David Tiefenbrunn, of the St Charles County Sheriff's Department in Missouri, told AAP when Powers was arrested in February.
"That was one of the reasons he fled Australia - to avoid prosecution on that case.
"He's already been convicted in the past in Australia and has served time for possession of child pornography."
In a deal with Missouri prosecutors, Powers entered a guilty plea last week to one count of possession of child pornography.
Powers will likely be extradited to Australia after he completes his US jail sentence.
