Tyrone Peachey doesn't care who will coach Penrith next NRL season and he has one good reason why: he won't be there.
Peachey was among four Panthers players who faced the Sydney media on Monday as the fallout continued over Anthony Griffin's sacking last week.
And while they said they were in the dark over what the future may hold at the club, Peachey isn't the least bit concerned as he prepares for a shift to the Gold Coast at the end of the year.
"To be honest, it doesn't really bother me. I'm not here next year," the NSW State of Origin utility said.
"We've got (Panthers interim coach Cameron Ciraldo). He's going to do a great job for us at the end of the year, then I'm up to the Goldie.
"I still want the club to do good. But as long as Ciro is here and he takes over, it will be great."
Asked how his relationship was with Griffin, who Panthers general manager Phil Gould claimed had lost the support of the players, Peachey said "it was all right".
"I got along good with him," he said.
"I wasn't too happy when he put me on the bench but when I was starting everything was good."
Peachey is the only member of the Panthers' top 17 set to leave the club at the end of the year.
However, he insisted the move was more to do with Penrith's cap management to try to keep Nathan Cleary and Reagan Campbell-Gillard than any issue with Griffin.
Wayne Bennett and Trent Barrett have been linked to the club despite being contracted elsewhere and the players insist they would be happy with Ciraldo in the long term.
Ivan Cleary remains a popular figure among players following his Penrith stint in 2012-15 but they expect him to remain at Wests Tigers after he vowed at the weekend to honour his contract there.
