The homeowner was rescued by firefighters and emergency service volunteers after being trapped by the tree in the house in Parkwood, the worst hit area, in Perth's southeast.
By 4am (WST) 52 calls for help had been received by emergency services in the Perth metropolitan area and five in the southwest.
The majority of calls have been for damage to roofs and minor flooding.
More calls for assistance are expected as people wake to find damage to their homes.
