The Perth Scorchers have set their sights on becoming WBBL champions after booking a spot in the title decider with a crushing nine-wicket win over the Brisbane Heat in Tuesday's semi-final at the WACA Ground.

Chasing 125 for victory, the Scorchers cruised to the target with 26 balls to spare.

Openers Nicole Bolton (36 off 24 balls) and Elyse Villani (52no off 48 balls) put on a 67-run partnership to set up the emphatic win, with skipper Suzie Bates chipping in with an unbeaten 27 off 22 balls.

The Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes face off in the other semi-final on Wednesday, with the winner to meet Perth in Saturday's final.

The Scorchers were knocked out by eventual champions the Sydney Thunder in last season's semi-final, and Villani said that defeat helped motivate the team this season.

"It was pretty devastating," Villani said of last season's finals exit.

"So to right that wrong feels pretty great. I feel like our team's in a good place."

Perth were never troubled in their run chase.

Bolton was in a particularly brutal mood, cracking six boundaries before being run out by a beautiful piece of fielding by Jess Jonassen.

"She's just a cool, calm head at the top," Villani said of Bolton.

"She was hitting the ball beautifully today, so I played a bit of a support role."

Brisbane were made to pay for their sluggish start in their total of 5-124.

The Heat were struggling at 1-46 after 10 overs, before some late big hitting from Delissa Kimmince (25no off 15 balls) and Deandra Dottin (18 off 15 balls) lifted Brisbane to a defendable total.

Brisbane skipper Kirby Short top-scored with 39 off 49 balls, but her inability to rotate the strike proved costly, with her innings featuring 25 dot balls.

"Perhaps I could have moved about my crease a little bit more," Short said.

"But the bottom line is they had quite clear plans both to me and a variety of batters, and they executed it quite well.

"On a quick outfield under good conditions today, we definitely didn't score enough runs. Part of that was probably not utilising our power play well enough."

Scorchers spinner Emma King was the pick of the bowlers with 2-17 off four overs, while medium pacer Piepa Cleary (1-18) was also crucial in slowing the run rate.
